Globus-film
Production service company "Globus-film" provides a wide range of services for shooting in Russia both for local and foreign companies. "Globus-film" has been successfully operating in Russia for more than 25 years. Our filmography includes more than 50 feature and documentary, Russian and foreign, full-length and tv series projects. "Globus-film" always aspires to organize the working process complying with international film production standards, regardless of the scale and budget of the project. We have worked with different companies from Russia, the United Kingdom, India, the USA, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, etc.

We are engaged in the organization of filming throughout Russia: in the cities of Siberia and the South of the country, in the former CIS and Eastern Europe, but the most favorite place for us is still St. Petersburg. The plasticity of urban architecture, and a variety of objects both within the city and in its suburbs, make it possible to recreate on the screen different eras and "scenery" of both St. Petersburg and other cities in Russia and Europe.

With our clients, we always strive to become a reliable partner, committed to helping in the implementation of all creative ideas and take on all the issues related to the organization and conduct of shooting. Thanks to many years of experience, the professionalism of the team, knowledge of the market and the intricacies of the shooting process, we are ready to take on tasks of any complexity.

Film making is our passion and area of expertise, we are interested in projects of all scale.

About us

Globus Film was created in 1990 by Valery Ermolaev (1946-2001) and became one of the first independent Russian companies focused on providing services to foreign filmmakers.

Valery Ermolaev had vast experience in organizing film production. He started working at Lenfilm at the age of 16 and rose from a mechanic in a sound department to UPM; worked as a production manager at the studios of documentary and popular science films, after which he returned to Lenfilm in 1982 as Deputy Director of the studio. At the time of the creation of the Globus Film company, Valery Ermolaev had 25 years of experience and more than 150 projects accomplished.

Under the leadership of Valery Ermolaev, Globus Film has established itself among its Western colleagues as a reliable and professional partner. In the period from 1990 to 2001, our company organized the shooting of more than 20 feature and documentary films, including: “007. Golden Eye ”(Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer),“ Eugene Onegin ”(7 Arts International (UK), Rysher Entertainment (USA), Starz! (USA)),“ Crime and Punishment ”(BBC One), - projects that we are still very proud.

Valery directed the production of the picture "Crime and Punishment" when he was already seriously ill. In 2001, two months after the end of filming, he was gone. Our English colleagues dedicated this film to Valery Ermolaev.

A huge loss and a very difficult time for us. But we managed to keep the company and continue working.

Valery was our teacher and friend, a powerful driving force for the company and an example of high professionalism for the whole team. The experience that we gained while working with him, the team approach to solving problems that he taught us, the production traditions that have developed in the company since its inception - all this helps us today.

Since the early 2000s, Globus Film has been working not only with Western, but also with Russian filmmakers. During this period, more than 30 feature films were made, and many of our colleagues, with whom we worked before, return to us with new projects.

In 2015, 14 years after we collaborated on Crime and Punishment, the producers of this film contacted us again, now with a new six-part film War and Peace (BBC Wales). And we sincerely believe that we owe the opportunity to work on this most interesting project to Valery, who is forever in our hearts.
